Intimate Voices Presents...

End of Season

2015-2016 Season

Sheila ReinholdA Note from the Music Director

Thank you to all our audience members and community sponsors for a wonderful ninth season. We so enjoyed sharing great music with our enthusiastic audiences at our home venue, the lovely sanctuary of CSAIR in Riverdale, both in our Saturday evening series concerts and in our annual free Family Program, this year again "sensory-friendly" to reach out to all families. And we are now rounding out the season with more visits to nursing homes and other venues in the community.

We made new friends at each concert as our robust attendance continued, and your strong support is enabling us to maintain our expanded roster of Community Outreach events, including again this season visits to bring our music to classes at the Riverdale Early Childhood Center for kids with special needs. And by now many residents and staff members of area nursing homes and the James J. Peters VA Medical Center know us and look forward to our visits, all made possible by your support (for information on how to become a Friend of Intimate Voices, please click here.)

A special note of gratitude is due to our Corporate Community Partner, NewYork-Presbyterian/The Allen Hospital. Their generous support and recognition for a third year have been vital to our ability to maintain the quality of our concerts as well as increase our commitment to Community Outreach.

We are in the process of planning for 2018-2019, which will be our 10th season! We will again offer a season series of three concerts, with pieces that challenge as well as delight, again balancing the new with the familiar. Our third annual Baroque evening was once again a hit with the audience and with the musicians, and we have some more intriguing ideas percolating. Please continue to write us at with any program or event suggestions -- we love hearing from you! And we are continuing to look for ways (and means) to maintain and expand our community outreach programs, so please send us any ideas about this as well.

Check back in early summer for announcement of the dates for the 2018-2019 season.

We are looking forward to sharing music with you again!

- Sheila Reinhold

Support Music for Kids and in the Community

When you subscribe to the 3-concert season series, please consider our Music-for-the-Community Package. We believe exposing children to the beauty and excitement of chamber music can inspire their participation in and enjoyment of music-making of all kinds for years to come. Our programs reach out to include all children and families, including those with special needs, through our free sensory/autism-friendly Family Program and our visits to an area special-needs preschool. In addition, we plan to continue our efforts to bring music to our neighbors in nursing and rehab facilities who are not able to come to our home at CSAIR, visiting the James J. Peters VA Medical Center as well as several area nursing homes. But to make these community-building programs possible and available for all, we need your help.

Music-for-the-Community Package
$120: includes 1 subscription to our 3-concert season series, plus a $50 donation (tax-deductible to extent permissible by law) to help underwrite the Community Outreach Programs bringing music to area rehab and nursing facilities, and also featuring our free sensory/autism-friendly Family Program and concerts for special-needs preschoolers.
